Great service, great place, but the food, specifically the burgers have went way down hill, the burger was milimeters thick, the cheese was thicker than the burger, it was effectivley a salad roll for near £13. A serious disapointment considering their burgers in the past where high end.

I’ve not been here for food in a couple of years. This was the first time in a while that I came for food and I was slightly disappointed. The Mac and cheese lacked flavour and I tried some of my friends rigatoni pasta and it was cold. They forgot my friends burger as well, however they took it off the total bill. The fries were the only good thing that I ordered the House spice was really good. The waitresses were really lovely and apologetic for forgetting the food which was nice and the drinks were also amazing. Overall, I’d probably not come back for food, however I would be back for drinks. The atmosphere in this place is really nice the decorations and the plants really bring it all together.

Wowzers. My mum and I came here our first night in Edinburgh, had all the sharing plates except the peppers and it was absolutely phenomenal 😮💨 I wish I could experience eating all of it for the first time again! 10/10

The food was absolutely amazing, came here for valentines day and service was on point, good was delicious and tasteful. We had a few cocktails and they were all mixed perfectly. Highly recommend.

I have been coming here every few months for around 7/8 years now as a special treat to myself.
However, it’s changed. Since the last time I came the menu seems smaller, the options (in my opinion) are worse. The burger I received today couldn’t remotely hold up against the burgers they used to serve. It wasn’t undercooked or badly constructed, it was just simply a bad recipe. (I tried 2 of the 4) neither stood out. Neither of them came with fries as a side (they used too)
The cauliflower however, seemed like it was re-fried. Mushy, almost black coloured batter and very little overall flavour.
Everything we ate is vastly different from what they used to serve.
I used to adore this place, every single time it hit perfectly. I see all new floor staff, I can only assume the kitchen is the same.
I don’t think I’ll be back which is extremely sad.

Unfortunately they changed the menu for the worse. Please bring back the old one! The SXSW Burger was honestly one of the best burgers I‘ve ever had; the new ones are just too small and dry

BRING BACK THE OLD MENU! Really disappointed with the new menu. This place used to serve seitan, and a whole range of different vegan burgers. It was the best vegan food in Edinburgh. However recently they have switched to meat substitute beyond-style burgers, just the same as you’d get anywhere. Also the menu is much smaller. My friend had tried the new pasta - it was gluey and disappointing. Such a shame to reduce the originality of the menu. I’ll miss it ! The cocktails and staff are both great however so I would recommend for a drink.

Came here on 3rd January 2025 and was pleased to find out, this was the first day of a new menu.
Tried all the sharing plates and was very impressed! I don't know how chips could blow me away but they did. The BBQ 'Ribs' were great, a welcome spin compared to other vegan offerings. The Califlower bites were delish, some of the best I've eaten.
I also LOVED my 0 alcohol vegan pina colada. I might have to pop in for more of these....talk about addictive!
As a vegan it was nice to see that only one dish was not vegan/no vegan option. And vegan ranch! Where else can I get that.
Staff very welcoming.
The burger options did intrigue me, I'll have to come back to try ;)

Paradise Palms is hands down one of the coolest spots in Edinburgh! The vibrant and quirky tropical vibe instantly sets the mood, and it’s a perfect mix of chill and lively. The food is a paradise in itself—creative, delicious, and entirely vegetarian/vegan. The Southern Fried Seitan is an absolute must-try, and the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are bursting with flavour.
What really makes this place stand out is the atmosphere. Whether you’re here for the amazing cocktails (try the Buckfast Daiquiri!) or just soaking in the retro vibes, it’s always an experience. And if you head downstairs, the party scene takes it to the next level. Great beats, great drinks, and an incredible crowd—it’s like a hidden gem of a disco underneath a foodie’s haven.
My only tip: it gets busy, so patience is key, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. Highly recommend for a night out or even just a casual meal with friends. Paradise Palms lives up to its name—it’s a true slice of tropical paradise in the heart of Edinburgh!

Amazing food. I need the recipe for the corn ribs and the burger was THE BEST VEGAN BURGER I have eaten in a while. The staff were friendly and thanks to one of the staff’s recommendation, we continued our night with an amazing venue.
I'd be a regular if I were living in Edinburgh.

We were really disappointed when we arrived at Paradise Palms for a Christmas day meal with our two children which we booked a week ago and received confirmation of our booking, only to find that it was closed. We are on holiday and had looked online for something suitable for all of us and loved the look of this restaurant, though I can't comment on the food or restaurant service, I can say that whoever made this mess up caused real upset for us and our kids, what was meant to be a lovely evening celebrating Christmas ended up with us walking around, cold, trying to find somewhere else with no success, and in the end we got takeaway in our room.

We booked 3 months (!!!) in advance just to find out it was closed when we arrived. We get that it is Christmas, but why not mark that on your site or call/mail me when you saw you had a reservation on that date? Awful.

Mixed feelings about this. Normally love this place which is excellent value vegan food with good service. However while the food was still very high quality it was only luke warm when it was served, and the temperature in the restaurant near the front was a little on the cold side. I will give it benefit of the doubt, and come back again, but wasn't ideal on a wintery cold night.
